L. Zurabyan doesn’t think that only T. Mukuchyan is to blame for electoral fraud (video)
Today the NA continued discussion of the issue on candidacy of Chairman and members of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC). Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction Head Levon Zurabyan said that in the eyes of the people the CEC is a symbol of electoral fraud, and the commission headed by Mukuchyan was given a not honorable title of “drawing numbers”, “CEC becomes blind, deaf and dumb during elections. Mr Mukuchyan, you are responsible for electoral fraud of the recent years. As a result of systematic vote rigging the people lost faith in elections. That’s why the armed uprising of Sasna Dzrer received so much support.” He also touched upon Rule of Law (OEK), Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) political forces, which received many votes at the local elections, “These forces periodically by rotation appeared in the opposition and by criminal assistance with the authorities turned the elections into auction of purchasing votes and divided the votes. Now they are speaking of some political work, which was a simple trade, which is a criminal offense.” Levon Zurabyan said that they don’t think that only Tigran Mukuchyan is to blame for electoral fraud, “But it doesn’t free you from the guilt of supporting. We won’t take part in the voting, if we took part, we would vote against.”
