The formation of the cabinet was finalized with new appointments and replacements. However, politicians and analysts do not pin great hopes on the new government. “Serzh Sargsyan thinks he has appointed the best showmen. What we are witnessing today is a show,” says political analyst Armen Baghdasaryan. He says all problems in Armenia have political reasons. Political problems can be resolved only by a political team whereas the new government has other tasks. “This government gives hopes to people, saying to wait a little and delaying the process,” he said. Avetik Ishkhanyan, Chairman of Helsinki Committee of Armenia, says some ministers have immunity as a result of definite agreements. Armen Badalyan, an expert in political technologies, compares the formation of the government with the principle of forming a board of directors at an open joint stock Company. “The person who has the most shares, appoints others. The shares of our country are in the hands of Russia and the latter appointed Prime Minister and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Armenia. The West also has its interests here and appointed the Minister of Defense,” the expert said. The new government is to submit its program within 20 days.
