Eduard Sharmazanov: Republican Party is not guided by the principle ‘We are invincible' (video)
Vice-Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Eduard Sharmazanov, made an extraordinary speech in parliament. The spokesman for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) stressed that the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) achieved great success at the head of [its chairman] Tigran Mukuchyan. “The CEC has a significant role in electoral processes. I would not say that the CEC and the political parties in Armenia are idea, but there is progress which is thanks to Tigran Mukuchyan’s efforts. Not a single international monitoring mission has questioned the professionalism of the CEC employees or elections since 2011,” Sharamazanov said. Speaking about the October 2 elections in several communities, the NA official said, “The Republican Party has never been guided by the principle ‘We are invincible.’ We are in favor of free elections, because Armenia is our homeland,” Sharmazanov stressed.
