Leader of the People's Party (ZhK) Tigran Karapetyan sees both positive and negative elements in Karen Karapetyan's appointment as Armenia’s Prime Minister. The positive thing is connected with Karapetyan’s personality; the negative thing is that he will remain in office until April. I think Karen Karapetyan has been offered a temporary position and he will have to give it to Serzh Sargsyan,” Tigran Karapetyan said on Tuesday during a meeting with journalists in Yerevan. The ZhK leader says Karen Karapetyan did not even want to become Mayor of Yerevan for ‘he comfortable enough in Moscow’ but he was ordered to come [to Armenia] and become Prime Minister and he could not simply refuse it. Tigran Karapetyan hopes that Karen Karapetyan will invest money and capital in Armenia, increase investments from Russia. Speaking about Hovik Abrahamyan’s resignation [as Prime Minister], Mr. Karapetyan said ‘he [Abrahamyan] was independent in his actions and posed some danger. With regard to the internal political developments, Tigran Karapetyan said that the Sasna Dzrer group left their work unfinished, thereby breaking people.
