Number of routes in Yerevan won’t be increased in the near future. Yet, every day and already for twenty years the picture has been the same, when passengers try to get on microbuses, when there isn’t even space to stand. Even increase in the number of buses hasn’t solved the issue. “A1+” carried out a poll in Yerevan streets in order to find out with which routes our fellow citizens are manly displeased, “There are routes, for example 24, the condition of that minibus is awful. Yes, it’s true, it was even worse and was changed a bit.” “Almost 50 percent operate bad, after 8 p.m. their number decreases and after 10 p.m. there is no transport,” say our fellow citizens. Not only the schedule and overload of the minibuses is a problem, but also pollution and anti-sanitary condition. “It must be a little bit human, when a person wears white clothes, they get completely dirty. The issue of cleaning must be solved so that the people don’t feel disgust.” “Sanitary condition is awful, you get completely dirty; isn’t it possible that they be cleaned and washed at the last bus station.” Most of the passengers refuse to use minibuses, waiting for buses, but they are also overloaded during rush hours. By the way, according to the written information by Yerevan Municipality, this year 10 PAZ buses have been imported into the capital by private investors; the buses operate in No 56 route. As for the transportation of excessive number of passengers, the Municipality informs that the police are to control that.
