Gazprom mezhregiongaz's website deleted all data about Karen Karapetyan - Haykakan Zhamanak daily
According to rumours circulating in the political backstage on Tuesday, the Armenian government led by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan is going to resign. Karen Karapetyan, a former director of ArmRusgazard Company, who is holding a high position in Russia's Gazprom company, is expected to replace Abrahamyan as the country’s premier. After his resignation as Yerevan Mayor in 2011, Karen Karapetyan was appointed Vice-President of the Russian Gazprombank. Later he became Deputy Director General for Strategic Development of Gazprom mezhregiongaz company. According to some reports, Karapetyan has handed in his resignation letter from that post. The official website of Gazprom mezhregiongaz had deleted all data about Karen Karapetyan by yesterday evening, Yerevan-based “Haykakan Zhamanak” daily reports. The source says Hovik Abrahamyan is expected to resign in the near future and the issue of his resignation will be discussed already this week during the sitting of the Supreme Body of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK).
