We learn from “Single source procurement disclosure” section of the RA Government’s egov.am website that in July the RA Prosecutor’s Office paid AMD 2 million 291000 from the Armenian branch of “Visa Concord” for the tickets of 7 people traveling with Yerevan-Moscow-Yerevan flight, one of which was a business class. If we consider that those 6 people used the most expensive tickets for that time, it turns out that about AMD 1 million was paid for the business class. To remind, at this year’s May 12 Government session, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan announced about resorting to the regime of savings, “Although we have a finalized budget, we need to resort to a stricter regime of savings. We must form a less expensive apparatus of government. We need to reduce those costs that do not materially affect the actual result – business trips, maintenance costs, repairs, utilities, service cars and so on. Some of the aforementioned steps need to be taken today. In this regard, I instruct the Ministry of Finance and the Government Staff to come up with proposals and recommendations at the next Cabinet sitting.”
