Civil activist set free after spending three hours at Yerevan police department
Sevak Tsaturyan, a member of “I am against” civil movement was set free after being kept at the Erebuni Police Department for three hours. As reported erlier Tsaturyan was taken to the police station in the morning in connection with yesterday’s clashes between police and demonstrators in Yerevan's Sari Tagh district which is adjacent to the blocked section of Erebuni. Law enforcerement bodies wanted to identify his personality because they took him for a guy shown in the videos. Sevak says he answered all questions of the investigator concerning his whereabouts during the events in Sari Tagh that left three police officers injured on the scene. If in the beginning Sevak was taken to the police station as a suspect, later he became a witness. While Sevaak remained in the building, his friends decided to organize a protest near the police department against his illegal detention.
