If you want to shoot them, shoot us, too - Ruben Hakhverdyan (video)
“Whatever was born was the result of public despair and disgust for the government; we are going to downfall. Every day, while Serzhik is sitting on his chair, about one hundred people are leaving Armenia,” popular Armenian singer and songwriter Ruben Hakhverdyan told A1+ when commenting on the latest events in the country. He says the army should not be involved in such issues whereas, in reality, people were forcibly taken to military units were they were subjected to brutal beating. “What we are witnessing today is a nationwide protest against the corrupt authorities who should resign immediately. About 100-200 of us should go there and tell them to take us to the guys [inside the seized police unit]. If you want to shoot these guys, shoot us with them.”
