Armen Ashotyan: Armenia will never undermine peace process (video)
Armen Ashotyan, Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and a member of the HHK Council, is not authorized to say what Karabakh may cede to Azerbaijan and what it may take from Azerbaijan. However, Ashotyan says in recent days he has noticed something important in the Armenian-Azerbaijani propaganda field in connection with the Karabakh issue. “In the past, we used to say that Azerbaijani statements are meant ‘for domestic consumption’ but today our rival is making misleading statements and also taking advantage of the openness of our society, trying to aggravate the situation in Armenia. At first glance, Azerbaijan seems to be succeeding in its endeavors.” Ashotyan believes that Ilham Aliyev hopes to disrupt the peace process with the help of the Armenian society. “That day will not come. Armenia will never undermine the peace process,” he said.
