Lifers transferred to another PI: they are against it
Lifers at Nubarashen penitentiary institution are being transferred to Armavir penitentiary institution. According to our sources, most of the lifers are against the movement, as their conditions at newly built Armavir penitentiary institution are worse than in Nubarashen penitentiary institution. The main reason is the area of rooms. Our interlocutors note that like in Nubarashen PI, 4 lifers will live in a room in the new PI, but the area of the room is smaller. The complaints of the lifers, thought, have given no result. They can be transferred at any moment. The Penitentiary Department of the Armenian Justice Ministry informed A1+ that 10 lifers have already been transferred and the process is underway. There are 98 lifers in Armenia.
