“We surrendered so that they get excited; next time we will move forward” (video)
Freedom fighters Martin Baghdasaryan and Aghabek Khachatryan became friends during Karabakh war. 25 years’ friends often meet and recall their past. Four-day war made them again meet in the battlefield. Today relative peace is held on the border. But it doesn’t make the freedom fighters happy. They know adversary’s psychology very well. “At present they exhausted their limit, they asked for ceasefire, at present they are preparing; they may restart the war any day,” says Aghabek Khachatryan. The freedom fighters aren’t concerned about 800 hectares lost territory, “We surrendered in order to get ready for stronger attack; it is the law of war- we surrendered so that they get excited, next time we will move forward.” The production of weapons, the freedom fighters say, isn’t a problem for our country. But they don’t want to speak long about it; it is a military secret. The freedom fighters have one wish- peace, but they never forget that for peace one should always be ready for war.
