“United air defense is an alliance against the NATO: it is a suicide” (video)
Paruyr Hayrikyan, leader of the Union for National Self-Determination, considers the united air defense agreement to be a trifle. Today during the press conference with journalists he noted that its ratification isn’t important, “All the same, Armenia, as an ally, always brings its actions in accordance with the RF,” he noted. Mr Hayrikyan thinks that the united air defense agreement is a military alliance against the NATO as it is the main rival of Russia. “Today the RF considers itself to be counterbalance to the NATO, stronghold to military security, but to oppose the NATO means opposing the civilization, opposing the NATO means suicide,” he said. While touching upon the economy of Armenia, Mr Hayrikyan noted that only in case of democracy and competence it is possible to develop the economy, but, according to his words, there is no democracy in Armenia. “Armenia is in such a situation that expecting that there will be development, that by pouring water on fire it will light better, is meaningless,” he summed up.
