Spanish city Merida recognizes the Armenian Genocide
On June 9, Spanish city Merida recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide. All four political forces presented at the City Council unanimously approved the motion of “Ararat” Armenian Union. The adopted institutional statement labels the events of 1915-23 crime against humanity and the first genocide of the 20th century.
