Ara Budaghyan acquitted
The criminal prosecution of Ara Budaghyan, who was defendant along lines of the criminal case of shots in the direction of the vehicle of Syunik Governor, was stopped on the basis of absence of corpus delicti. As Ara Budaghyan’s advocate Hayk Alumyan told “A1+”, Ara Budaghyan has been acquitted, but he hasn’t been able to leave “Yerevan-Kentron” penitentiary institution for 4.5 hours. “Because of some bureaucratic procedures,” said Hayk Alumyan. To remind, Ara Budaghyan has been in custody for more than 11 months. Ara’s brother Artak Budaghyan was found guilty in connection with the case of a 2013 shootout outside Surik Khachatryan’s mansion, in which their third brother Avetik Budaghyan was killed.
