When an accomplice accepts its guilt, but the very perpetrator rejects it, it becomes at least odd, said Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan, touching upon the adoption of the Armenian Genocide resolution by Bundestag. He noted that the very aim of the Armenian side is the recognition by Turkey. Touching upon the agreement between Armenia and Russia on the united system of air defense, Shavarsh Kocharyan noted that there can be dual approach towards it, “Of course, there are analyses in the media, where both the advantages and disadvantages are noted. So everything depends on its implementation,” he said. To the remark that according to that agreement, the independence of Armenia’s airspace will be eliminated or reduced, Shavarsh Kocharyan replied, “In reality it isn’t so true. There is the second side; it is an opportunity so that we can observe the territory surrounding us in detail. It means we ourselves, we don’t have that capability the Russian equipment grants. But that chance to observe the territory surrounding us, I think, is important.” According to his words, similar agreements are applied in the territory of the CSTO. “In the military terms, the CSTO is divided into three zones- western zone, where the armed forces of Russia and Belarus operate, the second is the direction of Central Asia, where again Russia and the countries of Central Asia are, and the third is our Caucasian direction, where the armed forces of Armenia and Russia are. It means that it is a general project within the frames of the CSTO.” The Deputy Minister also touched upon the claim by Azerbaijan that Armenia asked for ceasefire after April war, “The lies of Azerbaijan are endless. It also insists on the priority of the principle of territorial integrity, but it is the opposite. Even in Germany there were 6 obvious falsifications in Aliyev’s statement,” he noted. According to Mr. Kocharyan, everybody knows who constantly violates the ceasefire and the unaddressed statements are unacceptable. Touching upon the letter of Archbishop Ateshyan, he said, “I even wouldn’t like to comment on it, simply it proves that the Armenians in Turkey are under pressure.”
