Opening the four-day sitting of the Armenian National Assembly, NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan said by a decree of Serzh Sargsyan, Republican lawmaker Manvel Badeyan had been appointed Armenia’s Ambassador to Kuwait. Hovhannes Margaryan, a lawmaker representing the Country of Law Party (OEK) faction, proposed his fellow colleagues to welcome the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the German Bundestag and urge other countries to follow suit. “I congratulate everyone on the occasion,” said Galust Sahakyan. Nikol Pashinyan from the Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction said a number of diplomatic missions have made statements alleging Armenia is not taking every effort to involve the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in the talks as a third party. “It is time Armenian authorities provided evidence to show that Armenia is doing everything possible to involve the NKR in the negotiation process. I am making this statement to focus public attention on the issue. We cannot and should not let any representative from Armenia discuss any issue related to the Karabakh conflict without a representative from Karabakh. “All these issues have been discussed in the presence of media representatives. If you think there are unsolved issues, you can turn to the corresponding committee to convene a discussion,” said Mr Sahakyan.
