“As a mother and wife of the Defense Minister I can wish one thing to our children – to have a peaceful sky overhead,” Ruzanna Khachatryan, the wife of Armenia's Defense Minister, said on June 1 on the occasion of International Children's Day. Today, Ruzanna Khachatryan participated in a festive event organized in the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense. “The Ministry today hosted in its premises three children – Narek , the brother of Azat Asoyan, Armen, the nephew of Armen Hovhannisyan and Areg, the brother of Artur Arakelyan,” she said. All those are relatives of our soldiers who died in the Karabakh conflict zone during the four-day hostilities in April. When asked what those children need today that the adults cannot afford to give them, Ruzanna Khachatryan said, “As their brothers perished while defending the borders of their homeland, so will they grow up and become soldiers and defend their homeland.”
