Peter Svitalski: Karabakh conflict has no military solution (video)
Head of the the EU Delegation to Armenia, Peter Svitalski, answered journalists’ questions in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri on May 15, Aravot.am reports. When asked about his opinion of the Karabakh peace process, Mr Svitalski said. “As you know, an important meeting is due in Vienna on Monday. I believe that these meetings can have a positive impact in terms of the conflict settlement. The EU's message is very clear – the [conflicting] sides should strengthen the ceasefire, initiate confidence- building measures and sign a final peace treaty. The Karabakh conflict has no military solution. This very message will be presented to the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan on Monday.”
