Appeal submitted to Court of Cassation on Vahan Shirkhanyan’s case
In order to remove the precautionary measure of Former Deputy Defense Minister Vahan Shirkhanyan, an appeal was submitted to the Court of Cassation. As Stepan Voskanyan, advocate of Vahan Shirkhanyan informed “A1+”, keeping Vahan Shirkhanyan in custody is baseless. To remind, Vahan Shirkhanyan was detained on December 19, 2015, on suspicion of aiding a criminal gang led by Artur Vardanyan. According to the words of Stepan Voskanyan, recently no investigative action has been carried out in connection with the case of his defendant. His health condition deteriorated in the prison. In spite of operation on his foot, Vahan Shirkhanyan has difficulty in walking.
