“Not only information was given out, but also a recording” (video)
37 names of the RA citizens are included in the online database of Panama Papers. Yesterday the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists published the full package of documents, where 320000 names are included. Earlier the name of Mihran Poghosyan, former head of the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of Armenia, was included in the list. “I ask everybody not to hurry. They are being examined. If there are such names, the relevant bodies are carrying out examinations and we should not make any assumptions,” said the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction head Vahram Baghdasaryan during the briefing with journalists at the NA. The new data include just 37 names of citizens of the Republic of Armenia, yet there are 127 citizens of Azerbaijan and 82 citizens of Georgia. Panama Papers include names 6200 citizens of the Russian Federation including billionaires and musicians having close ties with the President Vladimir Putin. As for the closed meeting with the Ministry of Defense in the National Assembly, Vahram Baghdasaryan didn’t like that some details had been published in the media, “The circle was very narrow there and I regret to say that not only information was given out, but also a recording, which is impermissible.” Mr Baghdasaryan doesn’t want to point out where the outflow of information is from, but he considers the phenomenon to be unpleasant, “It is a phenomenon to please the media. I don’t think that it was done on purpose so that the information reaches our enemies.” By the way, the HHK head presented his discontent on this case during their sitting.
