Proposal to name streets after heroes
Today Anahit Bakhshyan, member of “Barev Yerevan” faction of Yerevan Council of Elders, addressed a letter to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan on behalf of the faction. The letter reads as follows: “Taking into account wishes of parents and neighbors of Artsakh hero Robert Abajyan killed during April Four-day war, we propose naming Yerevan 45 Arabkir Street after the hero. We also have such a verbal proposal by the neighbors of heroically killed Armenak Urfanyan; Armenak lived in Yerevan 40 Gajegortsner building, 16 apartment.” Mrs Bakhshyan expresses hope that the proposals will be approved by two other factions of Yerevan Council of Elders and will be put to vote at the upcoming sitting of the Council.
