Taron Margaryan: Today is not the day to talk about war and weapons (video)
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan showed up at the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial accompanied by deputy mayors and heads of administrative districts. In reply to A1+’s question what steps Armenia should take to make the world recognize the Armenian Genocide, Mr Margaryan said, “First of all, we should always rely on ourselves, strengthen our economy and army and prosper our independent country.” Asked whether the country’s leadership is taking all these steps, the Yerevan Mayor said, “Naturally, these steps are gradually becoming visible, but we need time to make them visible to everyone.” In reply to our observation that the four-day war in Karabakh showed the opposite of what he was saying, Mr Margaryan said, “Today is not the day to talk about war and weapons. I shall answer you on some other occasion. ”
