Shavarsh Kocharyan: The issue of territorial concessions cannot be discussed now (video)
Shavarsh Kocharyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, was among those who visited a hilltop memorial in Yerevan to commemorate up to 1.5 million Armenians killed by Ottoman Turks in 1915, at the height of WWI. In reply to A1+ under what circumstances could Armenia agree to territorial concessions to Azerbaijan, Mr Kocharyan said, “The issue of territorial concessions cannot be discussed now. At this stage, negotiations are discontinued, fighting continues [on the Karabakh frontline].” He stressed that Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had already made a similar announcement and at present they should see to it that the ceasefire is honoured.
