Government to ensure soldiers’ treatment abroad
The Government today determined the order and conditions of the solders’ treatment, accommodation and transportation costs abroad. The project intends that if the treatment is impossible in Armenia, a soldier can receive treatment or a chance to be examined in foreign countries. The draft decision of the Government has been presented by the Deputy Defense Minister Ara Nazaryan. So, the sum for the treatment (examination) of a soldier covers the cost of a soldier’s treatment (examination) in a foreign country’s medical institution including the rehabilitation treatment (if the rehabilitation treatment cannot be carried out in the medical institution in Armenia), as well as costs connected with medicine based on the written cognizance of the following medical institution. The transportation cost for a soldier and his companion includes the ticket cost for travelling to and from. The accommodation cost for a soldier includes the expenses of the accommodation in a hospital based on the written cognizance from the relevant medical institution. The funding will be provided from the Government’s reserve fund intended by the RA state budget.
