Electoral lists cannot be copied or photographed
Representatives of political parties should have an opportunity to get acquainted with electoral lists, Minister-Chief of Government Staff David Harutyunyan said during a meeting with journalists on Friday. Speaking about the draft Electoral Code, Mr Harutyunyan pointed out one of the mechanisms of the EC according to which proxies of political parties can see voter lists one day after the election, take hand-written notes and make records but cannot make an electronic copy (such as a photograph) of the register. “This information, however, cannot infringe individual privacy, rather, it must help the appeal process,” he stressed.
