Gaspari again lies down in the courtroom (video)
The next court hearing of the case of civil activist Vardges Gaspari did not end without incident. At the beginning of the trial, lawyer Tigran Yegoryan asked Judge Nelly Baghdasaryan whether she had reviewed her decision to remove Gaspari from the courtroom for 6 court hours. Nelly Baghdasaryan did not give any response. In the meantime, Gaspari again lay down in the courtroom saying he had no other option than to lie down in protest of torture against him. The judge warned Gaspari to show respect for the Court and then again removed him from the courtroom for 6 hours. Tigran Yegoryan was trying to file a petition but the Judge did not accept it viewing Yegoryan’s move as disrespect for the Court. The judge has retired to the consultation room to consider Yegoryan’s actions. Gaspari is still lying on the floor.
