Newly appointed governor of Shirak marz Hovsep Simonyan after the Government sitting asked for time from the journalists so that he can answer all the questions. He assured that he had no priority; he would touch upon all the issues. Is his appointment connected with the fact that Shirak marz has had oppositional stance, and he must implement relevant control, “No, no, we shall not be defeated, we shall do everything with our people. Who said that Gyumri is an oppositional city; it is a very good city. We shall solve a lot of issues with our people.” Hovsep Simonyan assured that he would not change the personnel, “People working within the frames of legislation will not have any problems, but those, who won’t be able to meet the requirements, will be sacked.” Has he been appointed a governor in order to ensure necessary votes for the authorities in Gyumri, where they always lose, “Every person with his work, especially every party member with his right work must ensure votes for his party.”
