Aram Sargsyan: “They killed innocent people and are in liberty” (video)
“The successor of the mastermind of March 1st events was to reveal everything, but as they are connected with each other nothing was revealed,” today announced the RA former prime minister Aram Sargsyan. He thinks that the only way to reveal [March 1 events] is the judicial process, but it is impossible to organize and implement it in the current judiciary of Armenia. Aram Sargsyan by clearly knowing the masterminds of March 1 events feels himself guilty, “I really feel myself guilty in this issue, I am guilty that I enjoy the presence of my parents and sons and they don’t. In the end, I will go home today and take flowers to my mother on the occasion of the first day of spring, but they won’t. Believe me, I don’t feel guilty because I am alive and they are dead, I have nothing to be ashamed of my actions on that day; I was among the last people, who left the square. I feel guilty because those, who carried out that slaughter in Yerevan and by whose order the innocent people were killed, are in liberty. I feel guilty, because those people were killed for having free and independent country, well-off families, bright future for their children, but today we haven’t moved a step forward for it.” Aram Sargsyan today also spoke about his future plans and assured that he will take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections, “Political party cannot but take part in the political process; it’s another matter that I assess my activity during these years as passive.” During these years Mr. Sargsyan has drawn a conclusion- people take to the streets during the nationwide elections. He thinks that the authorities changed the constitution for preventing it, “But I must say that they will be disappointed, the elections in 2017 will be the most active elections, and let them not think that after them the people won’t take to the streets.” In reply to the question, who they are ready to cooperate with during the elections, he answered, “With the political forces, with whom we will have ideological similarities, who didn’t take part in March 1 crime and after it didn’t become a part of the authorities by justifying them.”
