Z. Postanjyan: “Any law enforcement officer is under suspicion of ‘March 1’” (video)
The NA “Heritage” faction lawmaker Zaruhi Posanjyan thinks that the opposition activist Vardges Gaspari is pursued for political views: “He expressed his view and is pursued for that view, and even if that view was offensive, it doesn’t mean that criminal persecution must have been instituted against him.” She thinks that the Court of Appeal changed Gaspari’s measure of restraint and released him only because the society didn’t tolerate his detention. “The protest of the citizens was organized and presented competently, and these illegal authorities succumbed. They decided that they would rather succumb than aggravate the situation.” March 1 is approaching and after 10 years no one has been brought to account for the murder of 10 citizens. The opposition lawmaker is sure that the impunity is not only the problem of the families of the victims: “Of course, it is their primary pain, but it is the problem of everybody. And when the investigator addressed questions to Vardges Gaspari, the latter asked what connection he [the investigator] had with March 1 crime. That question is not occasional, every law enforcement officer and representative of armed forces is under that suspicion.” Details on the video
