“Some people are interested in gas losses” (video)
“Every year gas worth 22 billion dollars is lost. You have also confessed that the amounts of those losses must be reviewed. If these losses exist, it means, that some people are interested in those losses,” lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan noted in the NA. Mr Ayvazyan stated that the losses aren’t exceptional in terms of normative base and cited the numbers. The Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction lawmaker hurries to oppose, “It has been already the second time in this hall that I addressed you a question by quoting from your report, and you denied my reference from that rostrum.” He also cited a paragraph from the report of the Public Services Regulatory Commission plan 2016, where the losses in the gas sector in Georgia were mentioned. “It turns out that the volume of losses in Armenia is four times greater,” highlighted Mr Pashinyan. “That is about the losses during transportation. When you read, be aware what you read. So let’s go and ask our Minister of Energy to set 0.1 percent for gas loss and see how he will do it,” said angrily Vardan Ayvazyan.
