Arman Tatoyan elected as the RA Ombudsman (video)
Today at the NA Sukias Avetisyan, Chairman of the Temporary Counting Committee, announced that the results of the closed, secret voting on candidacy of Deputy Minister of Justice Arman Tatoyan for the position of the RA Human Rights Defender were summed up. He stated that 107 lawmakers took part in the voting, 4 votes were considered invalid, and with 96 in favor and 7against votes Arman Tatoyan was elected as the RA Ombudsman. Arman Tatoyan read his text of oath from the NA rostrum by promising to cooperate with everybody without exception, to be impartial and conscientious. “The RA has Human Rights Defender,” stated the NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan.
