Citizens and police clash near Nubarashen prison (video)
The situation is tense near the Nubarashen penitentiary in Yerevan where a group of citizens are staging an action in support of the jailed civil activist Gevorg Safaryan. One of the action participants took a megaphone and began vociferating “Gevorg.” Just at that moment, police officers tried to grasp the megaphone from his hands. “You are Serzh Sargsyan’s stooges, you are a gang,” said Gagik Yeghiazaryan, another participant of the action. The talks between the citizens and the police are continuing.
