Representative of ARF regional structure to become governor of Shirak (video)
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF, Dashnaktsutyun) knows that people in Shirak region, which will be headed by a Dashnaktsutyun representative, do not like the ruling authorities. “We shall be in charge of responsible spheres. We took those spheres deliberately,” Head of the ARF faction Armen Rustamyan said today. He knows that there are many problems in different spheres in that region that need urgent solution. “We shall speak about specific projects in Shirak marz when we assume the gubernatorial position,” he said that the governor will be a representative of the party's regional structure. Rustamyan says the prospect of cooperation with the HHK does not make Dashnaktsutyun feel uncomfortable. “How can you feel comfortable if people are in discomfort?” he said. Armen Rustamyan says in his recent speech Serzh Sargsyan referred to all concerns voiced by the Dashnaktsutyun. Asked whether his party could cooperate with the HHK without expecting any top positions, the ARF lawmaker said, “There are always other options. We do not say that this is the only option. Life will show its effectiveness.” As a result of the cooperation with the HHK, Dashnaktsutyun is expected to get three ministerial portfolios, as well as gubernatorial positions in the provinces of Aragatsotn and Shirak.
