Application-document was handed over to EU delegation to Armenia (video)
Joint Opposition Headquarters of “New Armenia” public salvation front handed over an application-document to the representative of the EU delegation to Armenia. The application-document included the statements of Human Rights Watch and International Federation for Human Rights connected with the detention of Gevorg Safaryan. The participants of the action marched from Liberty Square to the EU delegation office, where they handed over the documents. The representative of the EU delegation took the documents and promised to hand over them to the EU Ambassador to Armenia at the same time thanking the march participants for the peaceful action. Member of “New Armenia” Varuzhan Avetisyan noted in the interview with journalists that the EU, which is an institution defending human rights and democracy, shouldn’t cooperate with the RA authorities, but, on the contrary, it must punish those who are responsible for injustice in Armenia.
