Demand: “Tighten the reins of the RA authorities”
At the moment Joint Opposition Headquarters of “New Armenia” public salvation front is moving toward the office of the European Union with the demand so that the European Union tightens the reins of the RA authorities.
The march has been organized in support of Gevorg Safaryan, member of “New Armenia” public salvation front.
He was detained on December 31 after the attempt to put Christmas tree at Liberty Square. He is charged with using violence against policeman Gegham Khachatryan. Gevrog Safaryan has been in custody for more than 40 days, but until now no investigation has been launched in this case.
Yesterday Judge Gayane Mazmanyan rejected the mediation to release Gevorg Safaryan on bail. The investigator thinks that release of Gevorg Safaryan will hinder the investigation.
