Shushan Petrosyan leaves NA building without a word (video)
The National Assembly’s Ethics Committee headed by Republican Khosrov Harutyunyan today studied the applications of journalist Lilit Lalayan and human rights activist Artur Sakunts. Lilit Lalayan, a journalist working with Past.am, asked the Commtee to study the behaviour of several lawmakers from the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) who voted for their absent colleagues during the parliament sessions. In his application, Artur Sakunts claims that Shushan Petrosyan, a popular singer and a Republican lawmaker, insulted a Facebook user over army affairs. After the sitting, Khosrov Harutyunyan said the applications are still under consideration and the Committee’s decision will be announced on February 18. Shushan Petrosyan was also present at the sitting but she left the NA building quickly, avoiding journalists.
