The Ethics Commission of the Armenian National Assembly has accepted an application against Shushan Petrosyan, a famous Armenian signer and a Republican lawmaker. The application was submitted by Artur Sakunts, Chairman of the Helsinki Citizens' Assembly Vanadzor office, who claims that the singer insulted a citizen on one of the social networks. The reporter is Khosrov Harutyunyan, a lawmaker of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK). The Commission also decided to announce its decision regarding the application of Lilit Lalayan, a journalist working with Past.am, on February 11. In the application, the journalist asked the Commission to study the behaviour of several lawmakers from the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and the HHK who voted for their absent colleagues during the parliament sessions. Talking to reporters after the Monday sitting, Chairman of the Commission Vahan Babayan said they would invite Shushan Petrosyan and Artur Sakunts to participate in the February 11 sitting. Mr Babayan added that there is no need to invite the law-breaking lawmakers as the videos clearly show their behaviour.
