Armenia’s former president Levon Ter-Petrosyan will return to Yerevan in 2-3 weeks, his office said in a statement on January 27. Levon Ter-Petrosyan is currently in Glendale where he continues to recover at his relatives’ in the United States after a surgery for intestinal cancer. The operation was performed by Doctor Petar Vukasin (Colorectal Surgery Institute) and the oncologist Kalust Ucar (Pacific Shore Medical Group) at Glendale Memorial Hospital in California on January 15. According to the press release, on January 26, Levon Ter-Petrosyan underwent a post-surgery examination by the two doctors. Petar Vukasin and Kalust Ucar expressed their satisfaction with the recovery process and said there is no threat to the life and employability of Armenia’s first president in the coming 20 years.
