The lifting of sanctions against Iran will have positive impact on Armenia. Today during the meeting with journalists Economist Vardan Bostanjyan noted that by turning the pages of history he hasn’t noticed that Iran did the Armenian society and state any harm, “With its 80 million population, Iran is a bottomless market for us, a powerful state, which has fuel and energy resources, and in terms of economic ties it has no problem, so that Armenia can make use of the developments underway in this large domain.” Economist thinks that Armenian must lead delicate politics with Iran. As for the crisis in Russia, Vardan Bostanjyan said that it will have its impact on our country, “Russia is in situation of collapse, and even the authorities don’t conceal it. The 85 % of Armenia’s external ties is with Russia. If there is vulnerable situation in Russia at the moment, in essence, the same is projected in Armenia,” he said. Asked whether 2, 2 % economic growth predicted in Armenia is realistic or not, the economist answered ‘yes’, as the number isn’t so high.
