Government to compensate frontier villages for energy price hike
The government today decided to allocate from the 2016 budget AMD 94 million to the Ararat Marzpetaran (Governor’s Office). Deputy Finance Minister Pavel Safaryan said a number of construction projects planned for 2015 had been cancelled and the money (AMD 92,674) was returned to the state budget. Besides, the Government did not compensate residents of Yeaskh and Paruyr Sevak villages for the increased electricity prices consumed in November which totals AMD 1365 000. Pavel Safaryan said the money will be used to compensate the tariffs.
