Tigran Sagsyan not relieved of his post as Armenian Ambassador to United States
Armenia’s former Prime Minister, Tigran Sagsyan, continues to serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United States of America though he will chair the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission from February 1, 2016. Talking to A1+, Tigran Balayan, Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Tigran Sagsyan can leave his post only by the order of the Armenian President. “The president has not yet signed a decree to relieve him of his post as Ambassador. Once the decree is issued, Tigran Sagsyan will leave his post. All decrees are posted on the website of the RA President,” Tigran Balayan added. Mr Balayan refrained from answering a question concerning the next ambassador saying ‘it is not the right time to speak about the new ambassador now.’
