Accompanied by the song dedicated to the law-abiding policemen the members of “New Armenia” public salvation front today tried to stick a poster on the Opera House, but the police cordon met them. Yerevan Deputy Police Chief Valeri Osipyan justified not allowing the activists to stick the poster by the position of the leadership of Opera: “The organizer of the gathering always stated that the leadership was aware, but yesterday we saw that the leadership announced that there was no such agreement,” said Yerevan Deputy Police Chief Valeri Osipyan. Yesterday representatives of “New Armenia” weren’t able to stick the poster, one of the activists was injured in a clash. Freedom fighter Pavlik Manukyan explains actions of the police in this way: “The police have adopted sneaky behavior, which is paid by the people and against the people.” In order to reach regime change the party flags must be put down and you must be united around one idea. Freedom fighter thinks that day is close: “They threw down the glove and we accepted it. Our fight will aim at bringing back the lost smile and the lost rights of our people, ending anarchy and plunder,” says Pavlik Manukyan. “New Armenia” also fights for freedom of political prisoners. He thinks that most of the freedom fighters appeared in prisons on charges of fake accusations, and the passiveness of those, who are in freedom, has its explanation: “There is one type of fair freedom fighters, who never interfere, they have lost their hope, and there is another part, which is waiting for the day when the ice will melt,” noted freedom fighter.
