Prime Minister demands clarity for awarding athletes
During today’s Government sitting Gabriel Ghazaryan, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs asked to allocate money to their Ministry in order to give prize money to the sportsmen, who have achieved success in 2015. “Who decides the amount of prize money?” asked Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. The Minister noted that it depends on the number of medals the sportsman has won and the competitions. “As Serzh Sargsyan will also be present at the awarding ceremony, everything must be clear. You are mentioning names of some NGOs, why must we award them? This draft will be reviewed by the Office of the RA President, then we will approve,” announced Hovik Abrahamyan.
