Situation is calm in border village after heavy overnight fighting
The situation is relatively quiet in Armenia’s border village of Baghanis in Tavush marz which came under Azerbaijani fire on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. “Shooting has stopped,” Narek Sahakyan, mayor of the border village, told A1+. The adversary repeatedly fired bullets from its military posts between 9:30pm and 11:45pm on Tuesday evening. Fortunately, the Armenian side did not sustain any casualties. “The windows of several houses were broken in the firefight,” Mr Sahakyan said adding that the enemy was silence after adequate response by Armenian troops. “Sadly, we have got used to continuing ceasefire violations,” he added. Narek Sahakyan also posted on his Facebook page the photo of “Frontier Christmas Tree” put up in the village.
