Armenian Parliament observes minute's silence for Armenian servicemen killed by Azerbaijan (video)
Before the start of the special session of the Armenian National Assembly, NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan spoke about the recent ceasefire violations along the Line of Contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces. “In the recent days, Azerbaijan made several sabotage attempts along the Line of Contact, firing in all directions of the Contact Line. However, the Armenian side gave an adequate response to the enemy and repelled all incursion attempts, throwing Azerbaijani forces back to their initial positions. Azerbaijani forces incurred losses. “If peace is incomprehensible to our neighbour, we shall have to speak and explain to them in another language which will much more painful. Unfortunately, Armenia also suffered losses in the firefight with Azerbaijani troops,” Mr Sahakyan said. After his speech, the Armenian legislature observed a minute of silence for the Armenian soldiers killed by Azerbaijani troops in recent days. When the sitting continued, Republican lawmakers – Nurad Muradyan, Sukias Avetisyan, Karen Saribekyan, Armen Karapetyan and Hamlet Harutyunyan - again voted for their absent teammates.
