Human rights defender on arrest of Vahan Shirkhanyan
Human rights defender Artak Zeynalyan, who has known Former Deputy Defense Minister Vahan Shirkhanyan since the years of Artsakh War, was surprised when he had been informed about Vahan Shirkhanyan’s arrest.
In the interview with “A1+” he noted that at that moment he couldn’t give a comment, besides, he hadn’t met with him for a long time and hadn’t spoken to him, “I am surprised at it, I cannot give any assessment yet. In general, political prosecutions are the traditional strong side of our authorities.”
To remind, Vahan Shirkhanyan is suspected of participating in the criminal association created by Arthur Vardanyan and having a specific commitment and role in it.
