RA state symbols to be used as desktop background
Today at the NA extraordinary sitting during discussion on the bill on making amendments in the law on “The RA Coat of Arms” the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) lawmaker Tigran Urikhanyan noted that the state symbols will be used on mobile phones, desktops as a background, when relevant atmosphere is created and spread, “Then they will love more and will disseminate their love toward the state symbols. The Ministry of Culture has something to do in terms of it or it doesn’t do its best.” He also noted that an individual wanted to place the Armenian tricolor on his house, but the state authorities disallowed by threatening with sanctions, “They explained that there is a clear list, where the flag must be placed and they forced him to remove it. And I also want to know how this law will influence the representatives of arts and crafts, for whom making the symbols is also a means of living. For example, it relates to Vernissage vendors. How will they be punished?” Deputy Minister of Culture Arthur Poghosyan noted if they don’t distort the general image, there won’t be any sanctions.
