Police on activist's detention: Aram Tarverdyan disobeyed our demand
Aram Tarverdyan, one of the participants of the sit-in underway at Liberty Square, has been detained for disobeying the lawful demands of police, Armen Malkhasyan, a representative of the Police Press Department, told A1+. Earlier on Monday, the joint opposition headquarters of the New Armenia Public Salvation Front said Aram Tarverdyan, one of the participants of the sit-in held at Liberty Square against the ‘rigged constitutional referendum,’ had been detained for displaying a picture of activist Hayk Kyureghyan, who had been staging a hunger strike for 27 days in the Nubarashen prison.
