Pashinyan: How did it happen that HAK could attend NA sitting after March 1 clashes but cannot do it after rigged elections? (video)
Speaking about the decision the Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction to boycott the four-day sitting of the National Assembly, HAK lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan said the decision had been taken by the party rather than by the faction. Pashinyan, who did not join the boycott, stressed that he is not obliged to obey the decisions made by other people. Nikol Pashinyan could not hide his surprise at the fact that the HAK was able to attend the NA sitting after the deadly clashes of March 2008 and honoured the memory of the ten victims with a minute’s silence and now today they announce that they cannot stay in the same hall with republicans whom they accuse of falsifying another electoral process in Armenia. Speaking about the results of the Sunday vote in a majority of citizens, according to the Central Electoral Commission, backed the controversial reform while the results of different polling stations show a victory for the NO vote, Mr Pashinyan said they gave their assessment long ago.
